went to San Antonio yesterday and met up with my fellow gypsy hearted friend Dan. We had an amazing day doing the tourist thing and feeling out the city. If you ever get the chance, go to San Antonio.
Ok, today is a strange day. High alert with the war on Terrorism...orange is the color. Never has been one of my favorite colors, it's not bold enough to be red, it's not mellow enough to be yellow, it's just in between. No one looks good wearing it and your first thought when you do see it is Halloween. So back to the alert...I feel something but I’m not sure what it is, other than the utter dislike for the color of the warning. I just saw Bowling for Columbine" the other day and it really provoked some questions and concerns about our nation and how we react to crisis. It basically showed us a nation of paranoid neurotics that feed off of the fear that the media gives us because we ask for it. It perhaps was a bit extreme but did raise some questions. But again, back to the warning...I guess the movie has made me more cautious about what I get concerned about. I think it's fine that a warning has been issued and I will do what the govt. says and carry on with my life but with a hightened sense of awareness, you cant live your life in fear.

Do you ever step away from yourself look inward? It's almost 5am, cant sleep and that’s what I’m doing. I caught myself laughing and figured I should log it because it struck me as funny. I’m in Texas, I live in Prague, I’m 28 even though I forget sometimes and feel 18...really I do. One of my best friends is a 40-year-old women and my hearts hurts because I love her so much...this is a new experience in friendship for me. I have this incredible heart for 5 kids, which is an oddity in itself considering I'm not really fond of kids. I’m temporarily living with and building this amazing friendship with a girl who is so much like me yet so different and I just met her less than a year ago. I had two cats for 6 years and now I don't. I love a country whose language I can't even speak... the Czech Rep? How strange is that...of all the places in the world, why there?! But I do, SO MUCH!!
Couldn't it be some place romantic like France or exotic like the Caribbean, no it feels so much better and it's Czech?!

looking for jobs today in Austin...man thats hard work! The market is so bad here that even grocery stores aren't hiring. It's funny being on this side of the counter as far as hiring is concerned. I'm reminded now of how it must have felt when I was a manager and people came to me for work...humbling it is on the other side.

hail, hail the gangs all here...Joshua,Kristin, and Erika are all in Austin for the next few days, in addition to the standard motley austin crew. I have cool hair again...yea!
Drew met us at Magnolia's after the Sunday night worship gig (forgot the name)led by Nathan Russell and sponsored by Riverbend church believe it or not.
I see what Andrew and Debbie like about Drew. He has raw spunk.
