This is a random mix of daily novelties

Well shoot, I guess if Shannon can make herself blog tonight at 2 am, so can I.
Day of conversation, Book People, loads of laughs and Salt Lick (that would be Texas BBQ). Nice to hang out with my friends here again in Austin. Bruce seems to be getting on well in Texas and is enjoying his rubber chicken (which he has named "jessica" I guess because it is a gift from me to him) and we all are enjoying discussing the differences between Australia and the US. (NOTE: I’m glad that "fanny packs" are a fashion no no, as "fanny" has a much different meaning, please don't ask). I do have one question...OK, two questions...1) can theologians be spiritual and are they ever? and 2) Is it really common for people to daydream about obscure, random things of no real relevance frequently?

did you know that Fort Hood Texas is the largest army base in the free world? I didn't till today either. Did you know that it was in the 70's today in Texas...I had the beginnings of spring fever...IT"S JANUARY!!! Cool things to come concerning WabiSABI details. Also, Im feeling really good about DoxaQeren...I feel motion.
And finally, Nathan Russell has really cool hair these days

ahhh....Texas. Thanks to my friends Mark, who picked me up from the airport, Joshua and Kristin, who took Bruce and I to Waco where they transfered us to Nathan and Amy, which then transported us to Austin, to our final destination...Shannon's place! A team effort and much appreciated.
On a serious note...I left the Charlotte airport today and upon landing in Chicago I found out that 10 minutes after my flight took off there had been a plane crash that killed all 21 people on board.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those who died.

Cable v/s non-cable...cable-you get so bored with all the options and nothing good so you switch it off.
Non-cable you search franticly for hours trying to find the show you will have to settle for, thus wasting your entire day watching shows such as Blind Date and Joe Millionare.
Did I mention that I have to get out of here??? Funny thing is that I have about 10 books I could read or am in the middle of, lots of writing and phone calls I could and should do, but instead, an entire day...poof
Yippie...going to Texas day after tomorrow. Thanks guys!

Getting ready for "more serious" mode. I’m ready to work, I’m ready to get Doxa-Qeren out there and in motion, I’m ready for Wabi Sabi to have all prep work taken care and for us to just sit back and watch and wait for God to do what He does best...stir it up! I think Wabi has the potential to really influence, motivate and inspire a lot of people from varying backgrounds, whether it is the traditional or emerging. The idea behind the conference is it will be a networking time as well as that it should help one another understand and see first hand that we all have the same purpose...to expand the Kingdom. I think we will see that God uses us all and that we are all dependent on Him but also on each other. Also, we will be able to see the value that each brings to the table and that each is valuable in such a unique way...part of the masters plan. And, the best part, oh whatta party it should be!!! I’m really looking forward to having the opportunity to meet some of the people I have heard about for years now while I was overseas, as well as those I may not have heard of yet but are really out there doing things. I’m seeing the opportunity for a lot of connections to be made! Not to mention, I hope to know Austin better by this point so I can show it off to those who haven’t been there before...what a fab city.
